Stumbled on this while blog-hopping and coincidently I just finished reading Fast Food Nation a few days ago.

59 % of Malaysians eat fast food at least once a week? My countrymen, please make wise food choices lest we end up with obesity problems like in the US. Did you read about Jamie's (as in Oliver) Food Revolution in the little town of Huntington, West Virginia? I do not understand why people are so against him, he has good intentions. Most likely it's because he's a Brit :). No outsiders are gonna tell them what to eat!
Yeah, I know it's reality TV; nevertheless it highlights a national problem, and recently First Lady Michelle Obama has launched her campaign to fight what they now call 'childhood obesity epidemic'. Scary stats? One in three American children are overweight or obese. And this will be the first generation in the US that will not live as long as their parents.
Anyway, am not going to be preachy here; people, just remember to practice moderation. Or maybe just skip fast food altogether.
